12 Sep You Are Enough
By just existing and being you, you are enough. Do you believe this? Oh, if we could all feel this in our bones! Feeling like you are enough comes from a place of faith, faith in the universe that you are on this earth for a reason, and faith in yourself, even when you face challenges. We are all put on this earth to share our gifts, yet not believing that we are worthy or “enough,” can be a major barrier to sharing our gifts with the world. If we don’t feel like we are enough, we are often not ourselves, therefore unable to share our gifts with others. If we are constantly trying to fit into a box of what society wants, what our spouse wants, what our parents want, we are living from a low vibrational place that is the breeding ground for burnout, low self-esteem, and jealousy. As my therapist used to say and as I often tell my clients, “Don’t should on yourself!” The more we place ourselves in boxes, the more we feel anxious, unsure, and out of alignment. In contrast, believing that we are enough can raise our vibration and allow a shift from mindset of scarcity to abundance. When we believe in ourselves, we believe in others and inadvertently create space for abundance, joy, and magic in our daily lives and the lives of those around us.
Think of someone you look up to or someone you consider a mentor. What is it about them that earns your respect? Often times, it might be that person’s humble confidence, knowledge, experience, style, kindness, etc. but I can almost guarantee you that your respect for someone has a lot to do with their ability to be themselves and share their unique gifts with others. When we stand in our power (aka our uniqueness), we give permission for others to do the same. When someone is unapologetically themselves and uses their strengths to help others, people around them feel empowered, joyful, and more confident. Energy speaks. When we believe that we don’t matter, we portray this to others and in turn attract people who think we don’t matter as well. When we believe in ourselves, we will be flooded with people that believe in us too. The quicker you can believe this, versus just read it, the quicker you are going to feel empowered, happy, and confident.
You are meant to live in your power, your purpose, and in your strength. Society will try again and again to put you in a neat little box by telling you how to think, dress, make money, and so on. However, you have a choice every day to live in accordance with what’s true to you. I immediately think of someone dancing at a party. Who are you immediately attracted to? It’s not the person that has perfect rhythm and is doing every dance move right. No, it’s the person unapologetically being themselves, even if that means doing the sprinkler (not sure if anyone still remembers this dance move) for 3 minutes straight followed by a fist pump. Being yourself takes courage and results in joy, therefore attracting more joy. The more you are in alignment, the more those around you will also be in alignment.
Next time you find yourself saying, I can’t do this or I’m not good at that or I could never do that… reconsider. Your mindset shapes your reality. Just by living, just by being you, you are enough. Write, say, think “I am enough” as many times as you need to until you believe it. Life is too short to live any other way. I believe in you. I believe in me. Let’s change the world by raising our vibration.
“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.” – Buddha
